Only Part of the Story

Some dried rhododendron flower buds and what looks like part of a Magnolia flower

Last spring I found some flower parts just lying around on the ground like an invitation of sorts. I walked by the same bench this afternoon and see a Magnolia looking like it is itching to bloom. I have to remember to look out for what happens after this Magnolia is done blooming as I still want to know what that pretty shot of green actually was from last spring.
