When it finally rains in early Fall

It pours. When it rains and pours and I don't get down to my garden for most of the week, I end up with an oversized zuchinni and cracked tomatoes. I should be happy though because this second sowing of zuchinni went in a bit late and this early cool spell might finish it off. This monster might be all the plant has a chance to produce and the cracked tomatoes will make a good sauce for it. This is a lucky time, when things that produce a meal are ripe at the same time, like tomatoes, peppers, fall lettuce and a late cucumber.
