Something of a favorite

I didn't know this Katsura was so much a favorite of mine, but when looking through photos, I find it is the tree I have taken the most pictures of. Seems there are a few shots from each month so far here. Maybe because it is such an imposing figure as you enter the Japanese Garden from the back entrance near the stream? With its limbs that seem to bend backwards at strange angles like double-jointed elbows, the tree is both awkward and graceful. One positive to being on the grounds crew to counter the noise and heat of mowing is that you move around the whole garden and get to see some of your favorite trees.
