the virginia blues that is. You gotta love a blue flower. I'm from New York, but I didn't grow up romping in the woods, so the first time I'd ever seen one was at Brooklyn Botanic.

How lucky Jen. I remember odd things from childhood...chucking yew berries at people, watching my neighbor make a bracelet from clover flowers, dandelions, but no actual wildflowers. Agree with Terri. Blue is pretty amazing in a flower. Susan, I hope you are catching sight of some amazing things on your trip.
Since you are from New York, I would recommend you visit Bermuda. It isn't too far away and is simply beautiful. Here is a post I did about it. Beautiful Bermuda
