Art like life

Maybe it's just me, but the Patrick Dougherty stickwork art sculpture currently being constructed at BBG brings to mind the wasp nest that Travis was unlucky enough to disturb while pruning the Kwanzan Cherry trees. It's interesting to watch this piece come to life on the grounds during these three weeks and truly amazing how fast it is happening. It was just last week that we were cutting down and lugging the invasive willow trees out of the park in Staten Island and already it seems that Patrick and his crew are almost done with their creation.
