Six Months

Tulips at Brooklyn Botanic

It was in the bright fall sun six months ago when last year's horticulture interns spent the day with Cayleb planting tulip bulbs for this year's show. It was sweet to catch the display in full-on glory last night at the annual plant sale. And the Children's Garden boxes (an intern project from 2010) are in their second wave of bloom too.

Six months isn't that long a wait. I planted garlic that same evening and that harvest is probably two months off still.
